Wanted

In the movie “Wanted,” I saw for the first time in my life what it means to have a lion trapped inside and having the key to unlock the lion but to jacked up in the head to do so. For the past few weeks I have been dealing with holding your self hostage, it was amazing to me to see a realization of what I have been trying to say.

Just like in the movie the hardest problem to deal with is yourself. The main character in the movie had the hardest time getting past himself. After he got past the problems he had placed himself in, he began to focus his life on what he was supposed to be. After doing this he had the hell beat out of him. This was done not to kill him or make him kill himself, but this was done to open him up to finding out, and grasping his true destiny.

As the main character finds out that he is decedent of a great assassin he began to take on the ideology of his father. Wow, this speaks volumes, we as believers must understand that if we realize who we are descended from we then must take on the ideals of that idea. We must take on the mantel of the God that we serve rather than being dependent on him to deliver us form the trails of this earth. We have the ability to be the desire of God in the earth.

One great thing about some people of the world, and many Christians of the Americas, is that we have no desire to train our minds and bodies in the manor of a God figure. We are some of the most out of shape, unread, and unkempt people in the earth. I know this does not mean much to many people, but many other beliefs systems keep themselves in a manor like that of James Bond. While many American believers spend their lives wishing for wealth, these people are living out the life, not because they are better than us, but because they are not trapped by religious dogma.

Many Christians have know clue what it means to be like Christ, I know I don’t. I have, and hope never to be beaten as Christ was, some of ya’ll might feel different than I do. But I will tell you the truth a joker hit me, he better be ready to met his maker. I am working on getting to that level of Christ hood. Anyway, as the character in the movie began to train harder as he believed he was becoming more like his father, we as believers, must take on the persona of the God we serve. God has given you the blue print to a portion of who he his, all he is leaving you to do, is the act like him. If we as believers can act like the God that is inside of us, then who in the hell has the ability to stop us doing anything.
