Hue Blue (Jay-z)

I guess you could call me one of Jay-z “Shawn Carter’s.” biggest fans. I have been a fan of “Hova’s” since Reasonable Dought, which is one of the greatest albums in Hip-Hop history. Yet, being a “Hova,” fan did not become a true reality until the “Blueprint,” album. For me, that was my moment, the moment that “Hova,” went from mir mortal to god of rap.

I will never forget it, it was September of 2001, a month that will live in the minds of all Americans, and a time that I will never forget for many reasons. I was in college at Morehouse, and the album dropped, I walked the quarter mile to the mall, and bought the album and the rest I shall say is history.

Moreover, in the years since then “Hova,” has done more to change the game of Hip-Hop than most rappers period. He is the first who will reach a billion, and he is the first to be able to take what he has lived and draw you in with just his simple speech. I can not rate “Hova,” with Tupac or Biggie, because we have been able to see “Hova’s,” body of work, and in that tense he stands alone.

He only gets better with time, and because of him time is better, if it were left up to me he would never stop making music. He would be the rolling stone of Hip-Hop, and in many ways he is. Hova, stands alone, and I think that is the best place for him, because there is not enough room at the top, and if there were, then there would need to be two of him.
