Today I saw one of the funniest yet disturbing things I have every seen. Today, I saw a reporter toss his shoes at President Bush. Toss, being the operative word, it all seemed to roll in slow mo, yet it seemed like it was totally out of a dream. Not really believing what I was seeing, I rubbed my eyes as if this was a joke or something, and when CNN showed it again, I found myself laughing. However, I also found my self feeling sorry for Bush, must I say I am not a fan of the guy, I think he is the worst thing to happen to politics since Hoover. Moreover, it just seemed wrong, wrong to want to laugh, wrong to want the shoe to hit him in the head, no matter how deserving he may be. Yet, I just felt sorry for the guy.
I stood there looking at the screne wishing I did not see what I saw, an American President getting shoes tossed at his head. Then it struck me, the guy who tossed the shoes, was really good, Bush had to duck, not once but twice, and I was wondering when the Secreat Service would jump in and take a shoe for Bush, but they never did. It seemed like the “SS,” was a sleep on the job. It could have been bombs are something in those shoes, but it seemed no one thought about that. An American President in a country that we are “trying to help,” had a shoe pitched at his head, what in the hell is the world coming to.
Then the thoughts came into my mind, “you ungreatful bastards,” but at the same time I could understand how this guy felt. Maybe he is justified in his action, maybe he has had some deep loss or maybe he just hates bush. There are many in America and aboard that feel the same way this guy does, I can say I feel the same way, but did he take it to far. Did this guygo to far or was Bush deserving being disrespected like this, in a place where many Americans have died and continue to put their lives on the line each day.
Iraq’s, in may ways are not deserving of our support, because there are many who would love to do much more to Bush and America than tossing their shoes. I hope and pray that Obama watched this story, and wants to take out our troops sooner. Let them have their country, and when”the shit hits the fan,” let them deal with the mess. Anyway, this is your boy, “The Fair Response, with my 2 cents, Holla.
